Water Heaters & Tankless Water Heaters: Repair and Replacement
Sure, you know AC Remedies can get your air as warm or as cool as you need it to be, but did you know we can do the same thing for your water? That's right; we repair and replace all brands and sizes of tanked water heaters, including under-cabinet instant water heaters and tankless water heaters.
Does your pilot light keep going out, or do you need it checked and lit for the winter months? We can take care of that, too. All it usually boils down to (no pun intended) is a matter of visually inspecting and cleaning accumulated rust out of the pilot/flame area, and you'll be heating your water again in no time.
Thinking of getting a tankless water heater? There are many brands to choose from, not to mention different factors to think about when deciding whether to stick with your tanked water heater, or to upgrade to a tankless model.
Things to consider before replacing your tanked water heater or upgrading to a tankless water heater:
- Efficiency. Both tankless water heaters and tanked water heaters can run on propane, natural gas, and electricity, but overall, tankless water heaters serve to be much more cost-efficient because they heat water on an on-demand basis, whereas tanked water heaters continuously heat and reheat water stored in the tank throughout the day.
- Cost. Straight out of the gate, tankless water heaters are a much more expensive item to install than tanked water heaters, especially if you need to upgrade your gas lines or electrical meter to compensate for the quick-heating nature of a tankless water heater. However, tankless water heaters do last longer than their tanked counterparts, so, in the end, they do end up finishing very cost comparatively when longevity of your water heater is concerned. Additionally, tankless water heaters often qualify for tax credits and rebates, which will also help offset the cost.
- Size. Need hot water, but don't have much space? Then a tankless might be for you. Usually no bigger than the size of a suitcase, tankless water heaters can fit easily into a closet or attic space, with venting to the outside.
